Increasing Access to Safe Water, Sanitation, and Good Hygiene Behaviors
Access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene gives children and their families a chance to flourish. We believe every child deserves – and has the right – to use safe water and live in a clean environment. Clean water, a clean environment, and good hygiene practices are essential for children and families to thrive.
Working in the Agotime Ziope District, we strive to provide access to clean water in local communities. We also provide clean water in schools and healthcare facilities so that students and staff have access to the water they need for drinking and other activities, and patients and healthcare staff can wash their hands and keep their facilities and instruments clean to care for their patients and protect themselves.
We believe all women and girls have the right to menstruate with confidence, with dignity and with support. Our programm address all aspects of menstrual health and hygiene including policy and advocacy, timely and accurate knowledge about menstruation, social norms around menstruation, access to safe and affordable menstrual hygiene materials, and access to sanitation and washing facilities in the Agotime Ziope District.
