About Us

FHI is an inclusive society that enables the full and effective participation in promoting the equal rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in all aspects of life. Mission Statement Our mission is to partner with relevant stakeholders in order to support advocacy, promote equal rights opportunities and empower persons with disabilities {PWDs} to influence policies and legislations. The focus of our work is to facilitate enabling environments in the best interest of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). FHI engages in a diverse range of activities that focus on rehabilitation and care, advocacy, improving health outcomes and support PWDs in emergencies, promote inclusion including governance, social, education, economic and livelihoods and ensuring equitable, accessible, quality services for PWDs.

People Inclusion

The FHI’s volunteer program is intended to give people who are interested in rural development an opportunity to increase their overseas experience and gain broad exposure to FHI’s programs. Each year, FHI is expected to have not less than approximately 6 placements with our community programs. Assignments are for six months or more.
