Improving Health
FHI’s health programs in the Agotime Ziope District save lives and protect communities from deadly diseases. Our work helps mothers safely give birth and delivers life-saving vaccines. In the last 10 years, FHI has worked hand-in-hand with the Agotime Ziope District Directorate of Health to change the landscape of public health. We have improved health safety standards and dramatically slowed the spread of malaria, tuberculosis, and countless infectious diseases.
With support from Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC), USA, Future Hope International (FHI) donated critical medical items to Kpetoe Health Center and Ziope Health Center, all in the Agotime Ziope District. FODAC and FHI are working together to improve the capacity and quality of health care in Agotime-Ziope District. These projects reduce the district’s maternal and child mortality, protect communities from malaria, improve access to family planning, and ensure a reliable supply chain of vital health care supplies and medications.
FHI provides nutritional support to expecting mothers to ensure that they have healthy pregnancies and babies. We partner with health centers to distribute nutrient-rich foods and train families in how to prepare balanced meals for mothers and children. In addition, we monitor the growth of children to make sure that they are growing well and that there is no stunting.
